INHIBITORY EFFECTS OF GREEN TEA ON DAMAGED GENETIC MATERIAL INDUCED BY ALUM

Qian Xiaowei Department of Biology, Wenzhou Normal College, Wenzhou 325027
In this experiment, green tea were used as detected material ,alum as the mutagen ,the frequency of micronucleus as the index of DNA damage. The result was that feed containing 10% green tea decrease the frequency of micronucleus from 7 67±1 97‰ to 3 50±1 05‰(P0 01). The result showed that the green tea could inhibit DNA damage induced by alum.
