Analysis of the tectonic of deposit and the age of mineralization in Mahuaping of Shangri-La in Yunnan

Mahuaping deposit which is located in the western margin of the Yangtze block Yanyuan-Lijiang rift shelf fold belt and the east of Sanjiangkou-Jianchuan deep fault is abundant in beryllium and tungsten.Since the deposit has been discovered,there is few reports on the deposits.In this paper,based on the study of the tectonic characteristics of ore deposits,the author concludes that the Mahuaping deposit is controlled by the paraxial and interlaminar shear fracture of Hutiaoxia anticline and the transverse and tensile crack.The measured isotopic age of the Lead is19.7Ma and the HAESRDQ age of Quartz is 17.6Ma,showing that the bedding shear zone is formed during the period of the anticline and uplift,which indicates that the role of mineralization of Mahuaping occurred in the late Oligocene-early Middle Miocene-late Himalayan period.
