STUDY ON THE FATIGUE CRACK PROPAGATION BEHAVIOR OF UNIDIRECTIONALCF/EPOXY COMPOSITES

In order to simulate the fatigue crack propagation behavior of unidirectional CF/Epoxy composites under tension-tension fatigue service condition, the effects of loading frequency, stress intensity factor range Δk (under constant intensity factor ratio R=0.5) on I-type crack propagation velocity and propagation mechanism were investigated using CTS (Compact Tension Specimen). The testing results can be taken as a reference basis for safe and reliable service condition and service life.
