TECHNOLOGY OF CONTINUOUS EXTRUSION FOR SUPERCRITICAL CO_2/PVC MICROCELLULAR PLASTICS

The interaction of supercritical CO2 with PVC is introduced. Starting with three stages of microcellular plastics molding process, the feasibilities are discussed when using supercritical CO2 as the blowing agent of PVC microcellular plastics and a new molding technology is put forward, i. e. electromagnetic dynamic extrusion molding technology, which is well fit for continuous extrusion molding of PVC microcellular plastics. It can be foreseen that the electromagnetic dynamic extrusion molding may reduce the processing temperature, improve blending effect, tend to generate plenty of slender and thick cells and effectively control the foaming process.
