The recent advance in application of hyperbranched polymer was reviewed. The properties of hyperbranched polymer were between those of linear polymer and network polymer. It was mainly applied in modifier for polymer blending, toughener for thermosetting resin, dyeing auxiliary, slow releasing agent for medicine, hyperbranched liquid crystal, and it was also applied widely in coatings and polymer membrane.
