ADVANCE IN THE RESEARCH OF NANO-PARTICLE FILLED PTFE FRICTION MATERIAL

The research work on nano-particles filled PTFE friction materials at home and abroad was summarized. The mechanisms of the friction reduction and anti-wear of the composites, which were interface adhesive, boundary membrane lubrication and ball bearing, were discussed. The disadvantage of the study on dispersion technology of nanoparticles and the interface treatment between nano-particles and PTFE was presented. Some novel methods of interface modification and dispersion technology were pat forward based on composite interface modification mechanism, surface adhesion mechanism of PTFE, and nano-particle dispersion mechanism.
