A new kind of suspended filler which can provide carrier for microorganism to congregate and grow in sewage disposal is prepared from high foaming E/VAC filled with active carbon. The results show that the density reach 0.85 g/cm~3 and void ratio reach 60% when extrusion temperature is 185℃, mass percent of cross-linking agent DCP is 1% and foaming agent AC is 1.5%. The removal ratios of COD and NH~+_4-N are 90%~95% and above 75% respectively when high foaming E/VAC carriers are used to treat the simulative sanitary sewage in Hybrid Biologyical Reactor.
