STUDY ON IMMOBILIZED MICROBIAL RETICULATE POLYURETHANE CARRIERS

Zhang Qixia, Xu Haolong, Wu Bin(Environmental Science Research and Design Institute of Zhejiang Province, Hangzhou 310007, China)
The producing process of immobilized microbial reticulate polyurethane(PU) carrier was introduced, and the effect of the types and quantities of polyalcohol and surfactants, technical condition impact on foam aperture and density were particularly discussed. Ceramics and this PU carrier were used for wastewater treatment respectively as biofilm carrier. The results showed that the reticulate PU foam had good property of biomass formation, and it was the preferable material for treating polluted water.
