High-density polyethylene(HDPE)/Fe3O4 nanocomposite was prepared by in-situ thermal deoxidizing and oxidating method through extruder with FeCl3 as the precursor.The structure of the composite was characterized,and the effects of FeCl3 and dispersant on the mechanical properties of composite were studied.The experimental results showed that nano-Fe3O4 was formed and the particle size was 26 nm on average;the optimal dosage of FeCl3 was 20%;the compresive mechanical properties of the composite was preferable when using stearic acid as dispersant.
