Instability and reliability analysis of the backfilled retailing wall

ZHU Ming,XIE Tao (College of Civil Engineering,Southwest Jiaotong University,Chengdu 610031,China)  
The instability of backfilled retailing wall of a filled project after construction is described in this paper.Based on in situ data and data of design,the retailing wall stability before instability is calculated,and the reason responsible for the instability is analyzed.The reliability of retailing wall is analyzed on the random variable's presenting of geoparameter,and its failure probability is obtained on the condition that the coefficient of stability is 1 3.The analysis shows that the reliability analysis can improve and make up the shortage of deterministic method of geotechnical engineering.
