Settlement analysis of the foundation with vertical drains by two-dimension FEM (Ⅱ) --FEM program composition based on modified cambridge model coupling biot theory & a case analysis

This paper introduces in detail the method of two-dimension FEM program composition based on modified cambridge model coupling biot theory.Adopting the transformation method of axisymmetric vertical drains into plain vertical drains introduced in the former paper,the settlement of one embankment case is computed by FEM,and the computed results show close to the measured ones.
