Visco-elastic model of unigeogrid-reinforced earth structure

Based on the analysis of rheological properties of HDPE unigeogrid,this paper introduces a visco-elastic model to analogy the of the properties of creep and stress relaxation of HDPE unigeogrid.It is assumed that reinforced soil can be treated as a macroscopically homogenous composite material.A simple visco-elastic model of sand reinforced with HDPE unigeogrid is proposed.The rheological properties of geosynthetics made from polymers should be taken into account because they influence the long-term behavior of earth structure reinforced with them.
