Finite element analysis and experimental research on load bearing capacity of axially compressed high-strength steel tube-confined concrete short columns

Based on the axial compression-loading experiment results of three high-strength steel tube-confined concrete short columns, their loading-strain curves are plotted. The load bearing capacity of steel tube-confined concrete short column is higher than steel tube or concrete. High-strength steel tube-confined concrete short columns under axial loading are analyzed by using finite element software ANSYS and their loading-strain curves are obtained. These curves agree with experimental curves.
