The finite element analysis ot the steel silo structures under the temperature effect

The text creates a steel silo 3D model which is 22.2 m high and has a diameter of 15 m by using the FE software ANSYS.Under the sunlight,when the surface temperature of silo ascends from 20℃ to 50℃,carry through the transient thermal analysis on the model;get the distribution of temperature field,which is used as the thermal loads to apply on the FE model to get the disciplinarian of temperature stress on the wall of silo.The analysis result shows that the thin-wall of silo brings temperature stress,when it is(constrained) by exterior resistance,which is due to the change of temperature,and the distortion effect on the structures should be pay attention to in engineering design.
