The influence of slenderness ratio on the ultimate compression of concrete filled CFRP—steel tubular columns

Base on the experimental study of the ultimate compressive loading of the composite columns including 16 concrete filled circular CFRP—steel tubes and 8 concrete filled circular steel tubes,the influences of CFRP confining factors and slenderness ratios on the loading bearing ability of the composite columns are analyzed.The load carrying capacity of the composite system is studied by using the approximate theory for the stability of slender compressive systems,in which the influence of CFRP is considered.At the other conditions unchanged,the lager the slenderness ratio,the lower the ultimate load bearing capacity.
