The modified Taylor theory and simulation by computer in the design of structure under the impact load

The dynamic yield stress of the material get higher when the structure is under the impact load.Taylor's theory is a projectile-target impacting theory,which is used to measure the dynamic yield strength of materials.Because of the reasonless hypothesis of area increase model of interface between the projectile and target,there is large difference between the results of test and forecast.A new area increase model of interface between the projectile and target——preventing area increase model bring forward in this paper.It hypothesized that the interface area's increasing acceleration was the interface area's decreasing function.Then the classical strike theory——Taylor's theory was modified under this hypothesis.Comparing with the Taylor's theory and the QIAN Weichang's theory,the model in this paper was most up to fact.
