Experiment research on the capacity of short column with concrete-filled rectangular steel-tube subjected to eccentric compression

YAO Minle,GAO Jingliang(College of Architecture & Engineering,Jiaxing University,Jiaxing 314001,China)  
Ten short columns with concrete-filled rectangular steel tube with the same steel quantity are made,and are tested by different eccentricity.The load-carring capacities of the short columns with concrete-filled rectangular steel tube v.s their eccentricities under the same steel quantity are investigated.Results show that the short columns with concrete-filled rectangular steel tube are of better plasticity in the procedure of load added and their limit capacities manifestly decrease with increase of eccentricity.Experimental results are in good line with those calculated.
