Study on aseismatic capability of concrete-filled square steel tubular column and steel beam joints with dog-bone connections

Integrating dog-bone connections into concrete-filled square steel tubular column and steel beam joints,we take nonlinear finite element analysis and get stress development and distribution of dog-bone connections under cyclic load.The paper compares aseismatic capability of joints between weakened and unweakened ones,and analyzes correlative indexes comprehensively and systematically.Analyses show that dog-bone style connections are appropriate for concrete-filled steel tubular(CFST) and could enhance the aseismatic capability of this structure.In addition,it could be a fuse of joints in mixed constructions.
