Nonlinear finite element analysis of the honeycomb-typed SRC asymmetrical cross-shaped columns

Based on the full web SRC special-shaped columns and the truss type SRC special-shaped columns,honeycomb SRC special-shaped column is conducted.The software ANSYS is used for the analysis of the influential factors such as the web hole ratio,the steel ratio,the loading angle,the eccentricity to the mechanical properties of the new type column.The results indicate that increases in steel ratio and the loading angle and decreases in eccentricity are advantageous to the ultimate load-bearing capacity of the members.But the decrease in web hole ratio enhanced the bearing capacity limitedly.The analysis of this paper could be served as the theoretical ground for the application of the new type SRC special-shaped columns.
