The experimental study on load-deformation behavior of rubbers under cyclic compressive loading

The tests of rubbers with different stiffness subjected to cyclic compressive loading are carried out,and these load-deformation behaviors are studied.The tests results shown that there is linear load-deformation behaviors for the small compressive load,and the nonlinear behavior is appeared with the increase of the load.When the rubber specimens is cyclic compressed several times,the load-deformation relations for under cyclic compressive loading become more uniform.When specimens are unloaded to zero,the vertical compressive deformation and lateral deformation can not completely resume,and remaining deformation is existed.Besides,the higher stiffness of rubber has larger remaining deformation.However,the remaining deformation has smaller effect on the rubber mechanical behavior,namely,the rubber has better cyclic compressive loading behavior.
