Testing analysis on dynamic properties of routine soils in Xiamen area

Through the resonant column test on such 5 sorts of routine soils as mud,muddy soil,silty caly,silty clay and silty sand interbedded strata,residual soil,the influence of confining pressure and soil property on dynamic shear modulus G and damping ratio γ of the 5 routine soils was explored in detail.By means of tests and theoretical analyses,the average curves of G/Gmax and λ/λmax with the change of γ under different confining pressures as well as their recommended values of parameters for the 5 sorts of routine soils in Xiamen were presented.Besides,the influence patterns of the average curve parameters for G/Gmax and λ/λmax of such 5 soils with the change of γ were also quantified.The above findings would be used as reference for practical projects.
