Planning approach of low-carbon city for responding to global climate change

This paper reviews the theories and practices on low-carbon urban planning and construction in global cities.Under the background of global climate change,the article analyses city carbon emissions situation,existing problems and evaluation index system of low-carbon city.And then from the aspects of city planning approach which achieve low-carbon city,the paper put forward a series of suggestions about low carbon city development target and pattern,urban spatial structure,land use and traffic patterns.
