Research on the Criterion of Transformer Differential Protection

YE Yuan-bo (Hefei Power Supply Company, Hefei 230022, China)  
Intensively analysis the operation behaviors of the transformer differential current with braked proportion characteristic protection in different faults. Firstly the paper aims at the fault, which frequently happened on the spot, that is transformer external fault transfers to the internal winding short circuit fault. Then, it deeply analysis this situation, and also makes the key research on the influence to the protection has been made. Especially, the paper makes a qualitative analysis on the influence of the flowed outside current in the low voltage side to the sensitivity of the differential protection. Finally, by an example, the paper makes the beneficial discussion on how to improve the protection sensitivity under the guarantee of the protection secure premise.
