The Faults Line Selection Algorithm Research for Single-phase-to-earth Faults in the Neutral Indirectly Grounded System

Through analysis of existing line selection methods and discussing problems that line selection system faced with,improved Prony algoritlm is adopted to extract the information about harmonic components of fault zero sequence current,then the fault line could be selected by comparing the harmonic amplitude and phase of components elected fault lines.The experimental results show that this method can select the fault line exacty,and transient and steady-state process distinguishing needn′t be required.
