LI Hua-hua
As a conception,Tao has been developing in its connotation. From the evolvement of "Tao",we can see the syncretism of Taoism,Buddhism and Confucianism in different times. The process contains the complement of Taoism and Confucianism in Han-Wei Dynasties, the confluence of Taoism and Buddhism in Sui-Tang Dynasties, and the syncretism of the three religions in Song-Yuan-Ming-Qing Dynasties.Actually the syncretism of the three religions has been the mainstream in Chinese history. Thus, studying the syncretism from the evolvement of "Tao" is of great importance in the history of the relationship of the three religions.
