The Effect of Light on the Photocatalytic Activity of the TiO_2 Nanometer Powder to Salicylic Acid

The TiO_2 powder with the Ti(OC_4H_9)_4 as precursor is prepared by sol-gel method.Structure characters of the particles are analyzed by transmission electron microscope (TME) and X-ray diffraction(XRD).The experimental results show that the TiO_2 nanometer powder is composed of spheroid particles from 5nm to 10nm,and the crystal component of TiO_2 nanometer powders are analysed.The photocatalytic activity and the influence factor arestudied by using degradation of salicylic acid in the different light.The experimental results show that the photocatalytic activity of the TiO_2 nanometer powder by the UV lamp is higher.
