Influence of Food Concentration and Low Cd Concentration on Hydra Population

BAO Guang-di~1, HU Hao-yuan~2(1. Biology Department, Anhui Institute of Education, Hefei 230061; 2. College of Life Science, Anhui Normal University, Wuhu 241000, China)
The experiment indicates food concentration has a certain effect on the growth of hydra population. Under the condition of higher food concentration, the rate of increase and net rate of increase of the hydra population are generally raised, and Cd concentration has a remarkable effect on the growth of hydra population. Under the condition of higher Cd concentration, its rate of increase and net rate of increase are relatively great, and generation is shortened relatively.
