Study on the Photocatalytic Activity of the Fe~(3+)-doped TiO_2 Nanometer Powders in the Sunlight

The Fe3+-doped TiO2 nanometer powders were synthesized with Fe(NO3)3·9H2O,Ti(SO4)2,the sediment agent NH3·H2O by azeotropic distillation method,with well-crystallized particles.The particles size of TiO2 are about 4~8nm.The crystal phase composition and particles size are analyzed by means of XRD.The photocatalytic activity was studied by using degradation of salicylic acid in the sunlight.Experimental results show that the particle size of TiO2 gets smaller when doped with Fe3+,and TiO2 with 0.1% doped Fe3+ has the best photocatalytic activity in the sunlight.
