YU Bing-yi(Institute of Philosophy, Anhui Academy of Social Sciences, Hefei 230051,China)
The view of cultural value is the core concept of culture philosophy of the Modern Neo-Confucianism, which remarks that the value of human culture relies in its spiritual Metaphysical and Under-metaphysical culture. The core of Metaphysical culture is the philosophical thoughts. Modern Neo-Confucianism advocates the "Confucian humanity", opposes to developing partially the scientific technology of "instrumental rationality" in human culture and devotes to the combination of the scientific and humanity value during the course of Chinese culture’s modernization. However, the humanity value that the Modern Neo-Confucianism tries to pursue is the moral value. When the Modern Neo-Confucianism tries to solve the modern social problems caused by Scientism and seek for the harmonious and balanced development between science and humanity, it shows its Cultural Conservatism with the choice of Pan-moralism.
