Decarburizing Speed Analysis for 180 t Converter in Angang

Wang Rengui,Li Weidong,Sun Qun(No.2 Steelmaking Plant of Angang Steel Co.,Ltd.)  
Decarburizing speed and corresponding flue gas for converter are studied through theoretical analysis and industrial scale test and an experience model of decarburizing speed for 180t converter in Angang has been obtained so that the maximum of decarburizing speed and the quantity of corresponding flue gas are calculated.The results show the value of actual decarburizing speed is basically identical with that of theoretical calculation,and theoretical basis for flue gas dedusting system of converter is provided.
