Study on Regularity of Microstructures Evolution of Lightweight TWIP Steels Applied in Automobile

The microstructures and mechanical properties of a TWIP steel with medium carbon-high manganese after solid solution treatment are studied.The regularities of microstructures evolution and the forming mechanism of high strength and plasticity before and after deformation of the TWIP steel are analyzed by OM,XRD,TEM and EDSD.The results show that the density of deformation twins increases with the deformation degree increasing while the gradual forming and fining of deformation twins play a role in the fine grain strengthening and retarded fracture,and as a result the TWIP steel with an excellent balance in mechanical properties and forming performance is obtained.
