UPTAKE AND DISTRIBUTION OF NPK BY GINGER PLANTS

The uptake of NPK by ginger plants follows the model of 'Logistic equation'. However,the uptake proportion of NPK changed with growth and development of the plant, i. g.,at the seedling stage,the uptake proportion of K was the highest, followed by N and P, but the proportion of K uptaken by the plant decreased at following stages. The ratios were N 11. 0:P1:K16.1 in its whole life cycle. At the harvest stage,the amount of NPK distributed in various organs were unevenly,with K being slightly more in aboveground parts but N and P much more in underground parts.
