Available Silicon Content in Soil and Its Distribution in Shandong Province

Quan Weijie,Zou Qiang & Du Chunxiang (Shandong Soil and Fertilizer Station,Jinan 250100)  
Investigation of 1818 soil samples in plough horizon in Shandong Province showed that the available silicon content is 234 mg/kg,with the minimum 15.4 mg/kg and the maximum 779.5mg/kg.The available silicon content varies in different type of soil,the consequent succession is as followed:Typic HaplustalfsVertic HaplustalfsTypic HalaqueptsTypic FluvaquentsTypic PaleustalfsLithic Ustochrepts.The available silicon content and distribution in different land-form areas were also analyzed.
