Studies on Optimizing Cucumber Regeneration System of Three Different Genotypes

The effects of different age of seedlings,combination of hormones in the medium,explants,time of shoot induction and genotypes on cucumber plantlet regeneration were studied.The results showed that: when cotyledons from two-day seedlings were cultured on shoot induction medium,namely MS supplied with 1 mg/L 6-BA,1 mg/L ABA and 20 mg/L Ades,for about 15 days,then transferred to shoot elongation medium,namely MS supplied with 0.5 mg/L GA3,plantlets could regenerate efficiently from three different genotypic explants.More than 1.8 plantlets could be obtained from every explant.It needed only 6~7 weeks from cotyledon subculturing to plantlet transplanting.
