6 representative spinach cultivars(8#、23#、27#、39#、48#、53#) were used in this experiment. The germination tendency, germination percentage, germination index, vigor index and fresh weight were tested to determine the effects of salt stress at the concentration 0,0.25%,0.50%,0.75%,1.00%,1.25%,1.50% and 2.00%.The results indicated that, under the salt stress, the indices of germination tendency and percentage were waveform and the others first rose and then droped with the increasing of salinity. At 0.5%,48# was superior in each index. The salt tolerance of 48# was the best among the 6 species in every test.
