Physiological and Biochemical Changes in Growing Point of Chinese Radish Seedling during Vernalization

Biochemical changes in growing point of Chinese radish seedling during vernalization were studied.The results showed that during vernalization(2~4℃ tempertature treatment),the contents of soluble protein,free amino acid and soluble sugar in the growing point of two cultivars changed in a similar tendency.The contents of soluble protein and free amino acid increased gradually,while the content of soluble sugar decreased.The contents of soluble protein and soluble sugar in the cultivar "Changchundaxing"(tolerant to bolting) were lower than those in "Duanye13"(easy to bolt) obviously,while the content of free amino acid was on the other hand.The content of gibberellin(GAs) as well as indole acetic acid(IAA) in the two cultivars had one obvious peak at the beginning of floral bud differentiation,and another at the last stage of low temperature treatment.
