Study on Genetic Parameters and Correlation between Protein Yield of Grain and Other Traits in Wheat Strains

Ten new spring wheat strains were selected to evaluate and analyze some genetic parameters including genetic variation coefficient,broad heritability,genetic correlation coefficient,broad correlation heritability and so on,between grain protein yield and other traits.The results showed that the main factors influencing protein yield were biomass,grain number per plant and protein content;and compared with direct selection for protein yield,using them for indirect selection was more efficiency.Protein content was the main limiting factor and selecting criterion for it should not be too high.
