Application Progress and Prospect of EOS-MODIS Data in Agriculture

As a space exploration technology,remote sensing plays an important role in agriculture.The launch of EOS-MODIS satellite provides another important source of information for agriculture.In this paper,a detailed analysis of MODIS data's background and characteristics was given,focusing on the crop yield estimation,drought and stalk burning monitoring,crop disease and pest monitoring.Finally,the problems present in agricultural applications were analyzed.
