Study on Reproductive Characteristics of Co-tolerance Plant Leersia hexandra

Leersia hexandra is a kind of waterlogged tolerant and drought tolerant species.To make clear its reproductive characteristics adapting to resident environment,its rhizome germination,seed germination and tillering dynamics of clone population established in different years were studied.The results showed that its ability of rhizome germination was strong,and the average germination rate was over 80.0%.There were significant differences among the tiller heights of different colone population constituted in different years.The tiller number of the colone population constituted for 3 years and 2 years were both significantly more than that of constituted for 1 year.Although the viability of the untreated seeds was 69.5%,the rate of seed germination was only 3.8%.the asexual propagation was the main way for Leersia hexandra reproducing its generations,and also the effective means for artificial propagation and utilization.
