Effects of Transgenic Tomato Planting on Soil Biological Characteristics

A pot experiment was conducted to study the effects of transgenic tomato and non-transgenic tomato planting on the soil enzyme activity,microbial biomass carbon content and the bacterial,fungal and actinomycic amount.The results showed that in a cultivation period,compared with the non-transgenic tomato treatment,the soil urease activity had no significant difference,the soil hydrogen peroxidase activity was significantly decreased at the full-bloom stage(63 d) and the full-fruit period(127 d),the soil alkaline phosphatase activity was significantly increased at the seedling stage(37 d),the soil microbial biomass carbon content was significantly decreased at the seedling and full-bloom stages,the fungal amount was significantly decreased,the bacterial amount was significantly decreased at the seedling stage and young fruit period(97 d),while the actinomycic amount had no significant influence with the transgenic tomato treatment.
