Effects of Slow-release Fertilizer on Growth and Development and Yield of Dry-land Peanut

In this paper,the effects of single or combination application of different fertilizers on growth and development and yield of spring and summer peanut were studied under dry-land condition.The results showed that compared to the single application of any kind of fertilizer,the combined application of slow-release and organic fertilizers could significantly affect the main agronomic characters of peanut,such as the stem height,lateral branch length,pod number per plant and full-pod rate of spring peanut and the main stem height,branch length and double-kernel plump pod rate of summer peanut.There were no significant differences between single application of slow-release fertilizer and chemical fertilizer in most of agronomic characters of peanut.The increasing effect of combined application of slow-release and organic fertilizers on pod yield of spring peanut was the best,while that of the single application of slow-release fertilizer and chemical fertilizer took the second place,and that of the single application of organic fertilizer was the worst.The pod yield of summer peanut was the highest under the combined application of slow-release and organic fertilizers,and then under the single application of organic fertilizer,slow-release fertilizer and chemical fertilizer in order.In conclusion,the combined application of organic and slow-release fertilizers was the best for dry-land peanut.
