Application of Molecular Marker in Genetic Diversity Research of Punica granatum Germplasm

Pomegranate( Punica granatum L.) is one of the important berry tree species in China,and its germplasm resources are abundant. There are more than 1 000 pomegranate cultivars and wild cultivars in the world. The current progresses at home and abroad in the application of molecular marker in pomegranate germplasm genetic diversity research were reviewed in this study. The aim of the study was to provide more scientific references for the collection,classification,preservation,genetic diversity evaluation and genetic relationship identification of pomegranate germplasm resources.
