Double Film-mulch for High Yeilding of Cotton with High Quality on Alkaline Soil

Liu Shengtian(Shandong Academy of Agricultural Managers, Jinan 250100)  
Studies on high yield culture of cotton with high quality in 1991-1995 demonstrated that double film-mulching Could create good conditions for cotton to grow and develop, significantly promoting cotton seed to germinate earlier. The seeding time of double filmmulched cotton was 12 days earlier than that of one layer film-mulched, with 71. 2% of leaves appeared at the best leafing stage, 75. 8% of boils at the best squaring stage, and the number of summer and early autumn cotton boils accounting for 89%, with the yield of ginned cotton per mu being 145. 3-161. 75kg (2180-2430 kg ha-1). In comparison with of one layer film-mulched cotton, the flowers before frost increased by 14. 6%, pure income per mu increased by 50. 46 yuan.
