Effect of Magnesium Concentration on Growth and Development and Magnesium Absorption of Cabbage (Brassic oleracea L.var .capitata)

Soil culture of cabbage at different levels of Mg showed that the suitable concentration of Mg for growth and development of cabbage was 0.2-1.6 mmolL,the gradients of Mg contained in different organs at rosette stage were inner leavesstemouter leavesroots,and the Ca content in the plant dropped as increased the Mg supplied(except that at difoliar stage).The intensity of absorbing Mg by the plant was at headingrosetteoctofoliarhexaforliartetrafoliardifoliar stages.When the Mg ranged in 0.2-1.6 mmolL,the chlorophyll content increased as the Mg 2+ raised.
