The discontinuous Galerkin method for one-dimensional dam-break problem

We apply the discontinuous Galerkin method to the one dimensional dam-break problem.Two different numerical flux functions are used and compared. The TVDM and the TVBM slope limiters are used, and a modified slope limiter is also used to eliminate oscillations.The comparision with the high-resolution finite difference method, which has TVD property, showed that the dicontinuous Galerkin method get a sharper and more accurate image.
