Hydrothermal synthesis and characterization of magnetic Fe_(3)O_(4) nanoparticles

Magnetic Fe_(3)O_(4)nanoparticles was synthesized via the hydrothermal method by using(FeCl_2·4H_2O) and FeCl_(3)·6H_(2)O as raw materials.The effects of various kinds of oxidants or reductants,surfactants and chelates on the size and morphology of the product were examined,and the microstructure were investigated by transmission electron microscopy (TEM),Fourier Transform Infrared(FTIR) and X-ray diffraction(XRD).Preliminary magnetic properties of the nanoparticles were characterized by using a vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM).
