The effects of pH values on the production of Mn-dependent peroxidase by Schizophyllum sp.F17 in different buffer systems

The effects of pH values on the production of Mn-dependent peroxidase(Mnp)by Schizophyllum sp.F17 in six sets of buffer systems were investigated,and the buffer systems' abilities to cushion and adjust the changes of pH values in the process of producing Mnp were compared.The results showed that: different buffer systems had different effects on the production of the Mnp.When in acidic conditions,pH values of buffer mediums didn't change acutely;in basic conditions,the NH_(4)Cl-Ammonia buffer system and the 2-Amino-2-Methyl-1,3-Propanediol buffer system were more effective than others to cushion and adjust the changes of pH values.The buffer mediums with pH values of 7.2-9.5 after autoclaving were propitious for Schizophyllum sp.F17 to produce Mnp.
