THE METAMORPHOSED STRATIGRAPHIC SUCCESSION AND STRUCTURAL PATTERNS OF THE ZHANGBALING AREA

Based on ten sheets of finished and unfinished 1: 50000 scale pelogical mapping in the Zhangbaling area, the tracing of typicalstructures and the use in combination of structural and stratigraphical theory and method, the Beijiangjun lithologic association can be di-vided into three members in the middle Proterozoic with Pb - Pb isotopic age of 1821 + 416 Ma, the Xileng lithologic association also intothree members in the Qingbaikou period, and three stages of structural deformation can be delimited: a series of NWW - and nearly EW -trending tight congruous folds for the early one. characteristic development of ductile shear zone for the middle and the majorly NNE -trending wide - flat folds for the late.
