ON HOW TO IMPROVE ORE-PROSPECTING RESULTS IN THE TONGLING AREA

Xia Yuanfa (The Geological Exploration Branch of the Tongling Nonferrous Metal Group Company, Tongling 244000)  
It has been more and more difficult to prospect in the Tongling area in spite of its rich reserve of minerals and favourable metallogenetic conditions. In the view of the author. comprehensive geological prospecting should be undertaken to improve the results according to the metallogenetic law of the area. The characteristics of the available ore fields(deposits)should be studied further by making full use of the contemporary metallogenetic theories and then verified boldly by exploration engineering.
