INFRASTRUCTURE OF MESOZOIC MAGMATIC ROCKS AND COPPER-IRON METALLOGENIC BELT IN THE MIDDLE AND LOWER YANGTZE RIVER REACHES

It is indicated by geophysics, and isotope geochemistry of Mesozoic and Cenozoic mantle-sourced magmatic rocks that deep- seated lithospheric suture between the North China and South China cratons displaced southward compared with the surface suture. To east of the Tanlu Fault it moved southward to around Nanjing and Zhenjiang and was shown as SW- trending from Nanjing to around Tongcheng; In the Dabieshan area west of the Fault it moved southward at least to south of Yuexi. Close to the middle and lower Yangtze River reaches the southward displacement of the deep- seated suture was possibly resulted from large left-handed strike- slip event of the Tanlu Fault system during early Cretaceous and induced mantle upwelling including widespread magmatism and copper-iron metalligenic process.
